Mansour finally booked for surgery

The long wait is finally over for Josh Mansour after Penrith booked facial surgery for the injured Test winger.

Mansour will go under the knife on Friday morning now that swelling has subsided in his face almost two weeks after suffering the injury in the Panthers' round six win over Gold Coast.

"It's finally going to happen. It has been a frustrating couple of weeks for him but it's fairly extensive surgery," Penrith coach Anthony Griffin said ahead of Friday night's NRL clash with Canterbury.
