Manly eye win to move on from drama

Manly coach Trent Barrett concedes only a win against Newcastle on Friday night will help show the club has moved past their off-field NRL woes.

The Sea Eagles have spent the past fortnight in turmoil, following the fall out of the round-five Gladstone trip which saw Jackson Hastings dropped and captain Daly Cherry-Evans fined alongside four other players.

"Winning from my point of view solves a lot of things ... For our club it's extremely important we put on a good show tomorrow," Barrett said.
