Rarely can David Moyes have had such an attacking approach as an away manager at Old Trafford.

West Ham had 22 shots and eight corners. They created some excellent chances.

Yet they came away defeated and Moyes has now gone 17 Premier League games without winning at the stadium from the opposition dug-out.

Moyes will hope to bounce back from this reverse against Arsenal next Sunday but he will also need Kalvin Phillips to show a lot of mental toughness.

Dropped to the bench after his forgetabble Hammers debut on Thursday, Phillips gave away possession inside his own half for Manchester United's third goal.

The England star needs to make a more positive contribution against the Gunners.
