Josh MacDonald scored three goals in succession in Manchester [Scott Wiggins]

Josh MacDonald scored a hat-trick as leaders Cardiff Devils won comfortably in the Elite League at Manchester Storm.

After a goalless opening period Cole Sanford broke the deadlock and the visitors proved unstoppable from that point onwards.

Zach O'Brien added the second and MacDonald ensured Devils led 3-0 at the end of the second period.

MacDonald added his second and third before Joey Martin added his name to the scoresheet.

Guildford Flames visit Cardiff on Sunday, also in the Elite League (18:00 GMT).
