Manchester City host Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Pep Guardiola’s side attempt to avenge their FA Cup semi-final defeat last season.

City have endured an indifferent start to their campaign, taking just four points from their first three games after suffering a 5-2 thrashing at the hands of Leicester.

Guardiola is being forced to juggle a shortage in attack, too, with both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus recovering from injuries, while Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling were forced to return early from international duty.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in a buoyant mood, having won three of their four opening fixtures, while the deadline day arrival of Thomas Partey will provide a much-needed boost in midfield.

What is the team news?

Kevin de Bruyne is a doubt for Man City after returning early from international duty with Belgium. Sergio Aguero has returned to training but is still regaining full fitness, while Gabriel Jesus is injured. Raheem Sterling also left England’s camp early, although that decision was said to have been taken as a precaution.

Thomas Partey could make his debut after joining the Gunners for £45m on deadline day. However, Kieran Tierney is unlikely to feature after coming into close contact with a Covid-positive teammate while on international duty with Scotland.
