Look: Jimmie Johnson honors NASCAR legend with awesome driver's helmet
Jimmie Johnson's next victory will be his 83rd career NASCAR Cup win, tying him with Cale Yarborough for sixth on the all-time list.
Given Johnson's history of success at Dover International Speedway — he has 10 wins there, the most of any driver in track history — that victory could come this weekend.
Win or lose, Johnson is paying tribute to Yarborough at Dover with an eye-catching commemorative helmet.

"I was a Cale fan growing up in El Cajon and never imagined I would have a chance to tie him in wins," Johnson tweeted. "It only seemed appropriate to have this helmet done in his honor."
Yarborough won three consecutive NASCAR Cup championships in the mid-1970s, a record that stood until Johnson won five straight from 2006-2010.
If you're too young to remember the colorful character, a Tampa Bay Times story a few years back described him as a "…turkey farmer, semipro football player, boxing champion, alligator wrestler and would-be cowboy from Sardis, S.C., (who) was one of the sport's best in a 31-year career that ended in 1988." That says it all.
