Lions' Jalen Elliott pays tribute to football player killed in Michigan school shooting

Detroit Lions safety Jalen Elliott found a special way to pay tribute to Tate Myre, one of the four young students who were killed during the shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan last week.

When Elliott arrived at Ford Field on Sunday before Detroit's game against the Minnesota Vikings, he was wearing a Lions jersey with his number on it — 42 — but with Myre's name on the back.

Myre was a sophomore football player at Oxford. 42 isn't just Elliott's number, it was also Myre's number.

Elliott's tribute comes just one day after Michigan wore special "TM 42" patches during the Big Ten title game on Saturday, which honored Myre and the three other student victims. Michigan beat Iowa to win the title, and they happened to score 42 points in their victory.
