Reddy's insane FIFA-style keeper run

Perth's Liam Reddy produced one of most suicidal plays the A-League has ever seen during a bizarre 9-goal thriller against Melbourne City.

If you've played even one of the many iterations of gaming console favourite, FIFA, you'll know the play all too well.

Your side is staring down an insurmountable lead, you've given up all hope, so you decide to throw caution to the wind and see if you can dribble the entire opposition team and score with your keeper.

Although, this wasn't a computer game and Reddy's side weren't losing; they were actually 5-3 up at the time.

But when the shot-stopper came off his line to act as another defender, his ridiculous desire to play further up the pitch took over.

After dribbling past his entire back four, Reddy looked certain to pass the ball to one of his teammates, but amazingly, the Glory keeper then decided to try and take on two City midfielders.

It didn't end well for Reddy or his bemused teammates, with the keeper dispossessed of the football before Nick Fitzgerald lashed in a goal from 35-yards out into an unprotected net.

Fortunately, the crazy play didn't cost Reddy's side the win, as Glory hung on for a 5-4 victory.
