Lemieux vs. Saunders: Fight results, live updates, round-by-round score

Billy Joe Saunders defends his WBO world middleweight championship vs. David Lemieux tonight, Dec. 16 and Sporting News will have results and coverage below.

It was all Billy Joe Saunders tonight.

It's as simple as that: Billy Joe dominated from the outset. It wasn't even close.

David Lemieux couldn't land anything on Saunders all night: His daunting power was completely nullified.

What's next for Saunders?

Seems like GGG is in his crosshairs.

All times Eastern.

Lemieux vs. Saunders results

12:12 a.m.: 120-108, 117-111 and 118-110. I mean, OK, but the decision was correct.

12:10 a.m.: I won't be surprised if all three cards aren't 120-108, but they should be. That was a clinic.

Billy Joe Saunders defeats David Lemieux via unanimous decision

12:09 a.m. ROUND 12 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 12-0 Saunders): Total domination, it was really never even a doubt. Lemieux just had the worst fight of his career — it's not because he was bad, though. He just stuck to his style, which isn't good enough to bounce Saunders.

12:05 a.m. ROUND 11 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 11-0 Saunders): Saunders is keeping distance and Lemieux landed some shots but it's not enough. Lemieux needs this knockoug in Round 12.

12:00 a.m. ROUND 10 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 10-0 Saunders): You could potentially score this round for Lemieux, but Saunders seemed unbotherd by the work Lemieux did here. He's starting to get a little more impatient in there, but you can tell his spirit is broken here.

11:57 p.m. ROUND 9 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 9-0 Saunders): All Saunders. Same story in Round 9. No work from Lemieux here to change the tide.

11:53 p.m. ROUND 8 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 8-0 Saunders): Once again, the same story. Lemieux trying to find a home for his power punches, and Saunders is too quick. Another round.

11:48 p.m. ROUND 7 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 7-0 Saunders): Saunders is starting to really bring the fight to Lemieux. He's starting to come in more, he's much more active and is throwing more power shots now. Fight isn't even close. Lemieux still has power, but it's not going to matter if he can't get close.

11:44 p.m. ROUND 6 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 6-0 Saunders): Saunders is doing really good work to avoid any potential action from Lemieux here. Whenever Lemieux gets close, Saunders steps back or holds and peppers the jab again. He's landed some good counter punches, too. Lemieux isn't helping here.

11:41 p.m. ROUND 5 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 5-0 Saunders): Lemieux waking up, but Saunders is still toying with him. He's not trying to work the body, and it's hurting him big time.

11:37 p.m. ROUND 4 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 4-0 Saunders): Lemieux is chasing Saunders all around the ring. He's more active, but it's still not going to help if he can't cut the ring off. Whenever he gets close, Saunders grabs, and continues to tag him with the jab from the outside.

11:32 p.m. ROUND 3 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 3-0 Saunders): Lemieux was more active in this round, but Saunders is toying with him from the outside. He's jabbing away and dancing around the ring, and Lemieux is chasing. He's not cutting off the ring.

11:28 p.m. ROUND 2 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 2-0 Saunders): No one is expecting Lemieux to out-box Saunders, but he's going to have to take some chances to get underneath Saunders' punches and work the body. It's not happening, Saunders is jabbing and keeping Lemieux at bay with it.

11:25 p.m. ROUND 1 TO SAUNDERS (10-9, 1-0 Saunders): Saunders was busier and landed some body shots. Lemieux wasn't really busy and he was trying to find distance on his punches. Lots of volume for Saunders, and lots of punches landed.

11:18 p.m.: Next updates will be round-by-round scoring, so be on the lookout for that.

11:15 p.m.: Lemieux is walking out to Frank Sinatra's "My Way". I'm about it.

11:10 p.m.: Next up, the reason you are all reading this.

11:06 p.m.: Goodnight the lights. O'Sullivan hit Douglas with a flurry of shots against the ropes and Douglas dropped.

Gary O'Sullivan defeats Antoine Douglas via knockout

11:03 p.m.: Good fight, O'Sullivan is bringing it to Douglas.

10:56 p.m.: Both fighters are trading some big shots, fun scrap.

10:53 p.m.: It's a close fight through three rounds, but Harold Lederman has the fight 3-0 in favor of Douglas.

10:47 p.m.: Douglas was getting tagged in the first round and is getting tagged in the second right.

10:39 p.m.: Seldin got embarassed in the opening bout of this card, but it was entertaining at the least. Next up, O'Sullivan vs. Douglas.

Yves Ulysse Jr. defeats Cletus Seldin via unanimous decision

10:22 p.m.: Heading into Round 9, and it's a clean sweep on the cards in favor of Ulysse.

10:15 p.m.: This fight is, somewhat surprisingly, still happening but it's Ulysse's to lose.

10:07 p.m.: When Ulysse goes on the offensive, Seldin shrugs up. He's respecting Seldin's power, but still landing shots.

10:05 p.m.: Here's a surprise: Seldin wasn't dropped in the fourth round. Seldin just doesn't look like he knows how to handle a fighter that moves. Sloppy.

9:59 p.m.: Seldin hits the mat again in the third round. He's out of his depth here. He may have power, but that's about it. HBO hyped this guy to hell.

9:55 p.m.: Ulysse hits a straight right hand on Seldin and he hits the mat again. This one was a legitimate knockdown.

9:52 p.m.: Entertaining first round. Ulysse has no respect for Seldin. Mocked him by walking to his corner at the 10 second warning.

9:51 p.m.: Seldin hits the mat in the first round of a scheduled 10. Looked more off balance, but Ulysse is bringing it to him early.

9:46 p.m.: Seldin walked out to Hulk Hogan's theme song, "Real American." So that's a thing.

9:43 p.m.: First up, Seldin vs. Ulysse.

9:40 p.m.: Hi again, welcome to SN's coverage of Saunders vs. Lemieux on HBO! I'm Joe Rivera, your party host for the proceedings. Triple-header of boxing action tonight, glad you could follow along.
