Queensland win eighth straight Origin series

Queensland have won their eighth consecutive State of Origin series with a 12-10 victory in game three at ANZ Stadium.

The Maroons led 8-4 at half time after tries to Johnathan Thurston for Queensland and James McManus for New South Wales.

Justin Hodges scored early in the second half to make it 12-4, and the Maroons managed to hold on for the victory after Trent Merrin crossed for New South Wales with 10 minutes remaining.
