Beau Ryan rumoured to have signed with Cronulla Sharks

Wests Tigers fan favourite Beau Ryan is rumoured to have signed with the Cronulla Sharks, the Daily Telegraph reported this afternoon.

The shock move will see the popular rugby league player head south on a three year deal.

The Telegraph says Ryan informed his teammates late today, with fellow Tiger Chris Heighington expected to announce his intentions to join him in the Shire in the next few days.

If true, the move signals a big loss for Wests both on and off the field. Ryan's frequent television appearances have made him somewhat of a cult hero at Leichhardt Oval.

Since debuting for the Tigers in 2007 Ryan has been a valuable member of the team, scoring almost 50 tries and a total of 184 points.

After a consistent year the 27-year-old won selection in the Kangaroos Prime Minister's team.
