7th Tackle: Sandor pens letter of hope

The post is only used for online shopping these days, right?

Don't tell that to comeback kid Sandor Earl, who has turned to the ancient art of letter writing in a bid to re-start his NRL career with the Melbourne Storm.

As the end of his four-year ASADA ban drew closer last summer, Earl bashed out a letter to Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy, outlining his desire to earn a second chance with the code's most professional club.

If the Storm do go ahead and sign Earl the letter will no doubt become hot property.

Some would say the former Raiders winger- who is now based in Melbourne - is crazy to want to join the Storm given he'd need to dislodge try scoring freaks Suliasi Vunivalu or Josh Addo-Carr to get a start.

But Earl says he'd relish the challenge, having taken nothing for granted since the ban was handed down way back in 2013.
