Benji leads emotional haka for little brother

If this doesn’t stir you up some then you are pretty much dead inside.

In one of the lovelier moments of the entire NRL season Benji Marshal led an emotional haka in the grandstand at Leichhardt Oval following his little brother’s first grad debut for Wests Tigers.

The Tigers were farewelling stars Aaron Woods and James Tedesco and did it in style with a 28-16 win over the Warriors.

But there was even more tears around the oval when Benji did his thing.

With fellow family members in the crowd, Benji belted out an emotional tribute to the young Jeremy Marshall-King.

Moments like this make you realise how special sport is, how much it means to people and to family members who have watched your dream come true.

“It was quite emotional to be honest,” Marshall said later.

“I knew I was going to cry and I actually ended up crying up there.

“As a big brother you watch them grow up and I’m just proud of him.”

Benji will return to the club that made him a household name when he rejoins the Tigers in 2018 where he will hopefully have the chance of playing on the field with his brother.
