Paterson in slow-mo in slowest intercept try ever seen

Former Newcastle back-rower Corey Paterson has scored despite putting in one of the slowest 80 metre runs in rugby league history.

After sharply collecting a chip kick from former Eels star Krisnan Inu, Paterson began his long, slow run to the try line for the Leigh Centurions.

The second rower was remarkably lucky he had only tired forwards chasing him, and somehow made it to the try line without having a hand laid on him.

His four-pointer wrapped up the game in the final five minutes of the Super League clash against the Catalans Dragons.
