Ferguson re-signs with the Roosters

Controversial winger Blake Ferguson says he has signed a new one-year contract to remain with the Tricolours.

The 27-year-old was after a two-year deal but, as reported by 7th Tackle last month, his off-field choices led to the club reducing the offer to a single year.

Ferguson's form has been solid throughout 2017 but he hit the headlines with a drinking session in the lead-up to the Blues' State of Origin III loss to Queensland.

The former Sharks and Raiders player has scored 11 tries in 22 games for the Roosters this season.

The Chooks sit second on the NRL ladder and face a crucial away clash with league leaders Melbourne on Saturday night.
