Bulldogs appoint Raelene Castle's replacement

The Bulldogs have appointed 2017 Rugby League World Cup boss Andrew Hill as their next chief executive officer.

7th Tackle can reveal Hill has won the race to replace Raelene Castle, who will finish up at the end of this season.

Hill has previously worked in senior administrative roles at both Parramatta and the NRL.

He assumed the top job for the World Cup in controversial circumstances early last year, when predecessor Michael Brown was forced to quit after leaving an abusive voicemail for then Panthers boss Corey Payne.

Since then Hill has piloted the tournament into a healthy position just two months from kick-off, meeting budget and selling the vast majority of commercial properties.

"I'm extremely honoured to have been offered the role with the Bulldogs," Hill said on Thursday.

"They are a club with tremendous history and pride and I look forward to being able to work with not only a great organisation but as passionate a supporter base as you would find anywhere in sport."
