Edrick Lee produces bombed try of the year

Cronulla Sharks winger Edrick Lee has produced one of the most outrageous bombed tries of the year while playing for the Newtown Jets.

The former Raiders winger burned a couple of defenders to fly away down the wing, and only had to fall over the line to score against the Wests Tigers.

To make matters worse, the try would have tied up the game for the Jets in the final four minutes of the game, with a conversion enough to win the match.

However Lee inexplicably slowed up and casually attempted to fall over the line with Tigers halfback Jack Littlejohn in hot pursuit.

Littlejohn produced an incredible try-saving tackle to get around Lee and hold the ball up, but really he should have never had the chance.

It was a crucial play with the Tigers holding on to win the match 18-12 at Henson Park.

But unfortunately for Lee it wasn't the only major bombed try of his career, after he somehow dropped a pass on his chest to miss out on an easy try in last year's preliminary final for the Raiders.

It wasn't the only major clanger we saw in rugby league over the weekend.
