'Am I allowed to say that?': Myles' colourful description of his form

Manly Sea Eagles veteran Nate Myles doesn't think his performances over the last two NRL seasons were all that good.

Just ask him.

"Your own form, how do you rate last year for you?" questioned a reporter at Myles' press conference on Tuesday.

Without hesitation, the 31-year-old answered bluntly: "S***house. Am I allowed to say that?"

"Sure," replied the original reporter.

Myles moved to Manly at the end of the 2015 season as he looked for a fresh start after four years with the Gold Coast Titans.

His output on both sides of the game, however, continued to decline.

After averaging 101.9 run metres and 35.7 tackles per game in 2014, Myles' returns dropped to 94.7 and 33.8 in 2015.

They were well down again in 2016 as he posted only 83.7 run metres and 27.3 tackles per contest.

"Look, I'm my own harshest judge and I'll be the first one to say that I wasn't good enough last year," he went on to say in a more diplomatic tone.

"And I don't think the year before that either. For myself, I'll be pressuring all avenues of my game to pick it up because it just wasn't up to standard."
