The extreme cost of Mullen's drug saga to Knights

Newcastle are doing everything they can to assist ASADA officials with their investigations, as the saga takes a huge financial cost on the club.

They are currently being forced to pay banned half Jarrod Mullen $70,000 a month until the ASADA investigation is complete.

The Knights are now desperate for a resolution in order to sort out the mess the drugs saga has left them in.

As other players and officials are interviewed in regard to the drug saga, Knights CEO Matt Gidley has made it clear that the club is doing everything it can to help ASADA complete the investigation.

Until that investigation is finished, the Knights must continue to pay Mullen's substantial salary, $800,000 a year.

It's already cost them $70,000 since his suspension, all towards this year's salary cap.
