'It's a circus trick!': Gela-Mosby scores a Nines classic

The North Queensland Cowboys couldn't progress to a semi-final at the NRL Auckland Nines but Gideon Gela-Mosby's incredible piece of skill will be remembered.

Two minutes into their 25-12 loss to the Melbourne Storm, Michael Morgan directed a cross-field kick to Gela-Mosby on the left wing.

The youngster leaned forward to catch the ball but he couldn't hold on as it looked for all money like he would knock it on.

Instead he flicked his right boot up, kicking the ball into the in-goal as he fell to the ground.

Gela-Mosby saw an opportunity and took it, racing past a Storm defender to touch down just before the ball went dead.

Melbourne went on to lose their semi-final against the Roosters, who would later defeat the Panthers to claim the 2017 Auckland Nines.

Chooks youngster Bernard Lewis created a stunning highlight against the Storm.

Melbourne scored what looked like a match-winning try with only a minute remaining, but Lewis then went 50 metres to turn it all around as time expired.
