Gus Gould's dig at Dragons offer for Hunt

Gould's massive swipe at the Dragons

Panthers head of football Phil Gould has taken a swipe at the Dragons and their desperation to sign off-contract Bronco Ben Hunt.

The Dragons are reportedly offering the skillful number seven a million dollars per season to move to the club, an offer that many think is above his real value.

Gould was asked by a Twitter user what he thought of the big offer from the Red V, and he didn't hold back with his response.

"I don't think a 3 bedroom, brick veneer home in Caringbah is worth a million dollars. But if you really want one, that's the price you pay," Gould wrote.

Brisbane are clearly unable to match the big offer from the Dragons, but have had luck securing their stars below their market value in the past.

They recently re-signed representative forward Matt Gillett despite strong interest and more money from rival clubs.

Hunt's asking price has surely gone down since his famous dropped ball in the 2015 Grand Final, and a below par year with the Broncos in 2016, as he struggled to combine with halves partner Anthony Milford.
