Sharks fan celebrates try with a shoey

When Sharks playmaker Chad Townsend crossed over for a try against the Cowboys, Sharks fans were in absolute hysterics, but for one punter there was only one say to celebrate……with a shoey.

The Aussie pastime of pouring beer into a shoe and drinking it is quickly becoming a signature sporting celebration.

Is it gross? Yes.

Is it here to stay? Looks like it.

Formula one star Daniel Ricciardo and MotoGP’s Jack Miller have brought the Aussie celebration to the motorsport podiums this year, but now it looks like it’s catching on quicker than the Viking Clap.
