More bunker controversy as Tupou is denied
The Sharks marched to their 14th straight victory, defeating the Roosters 32-20, but it was not without controversy at Allianz Stadium.
Roosters winger Daniel Tupou crossed to score in the 65th minute with his team trailing 26-14, appearing to get enough pressure on the ball, however the replays did not give too much away.
Even the commentary team could not come to a decision as they reviewed the angles. The bunker ruled no-try but even the viewers at home weren't entirely convinced.
Same downward pressure on that Tupou try, just the ball on a different angle. Sort it out @NRLBunker!! #NRLRoostersSharks

That should've been a Roosters try by Tupou! Sharks dont need help refs, they are leading comp! #NRLRoostersSharks

That was a definite try to Tupou. Terrible call from the bunker.

@sydneyroosters robbed of a try then. #Tupou #NRLRoostersSharks

Although, plenty of people were happy with the decision. Should the try have been given?
Tupou dropped that. No try correct decision. #nrlsydcro

I think Roosters denied at least one try to Latrell Mitchell. But you couldn't give the try to Tupou. No control. #NRLRoostersSharks

No problem with the Tupou call. You'd hate to lose a grand final on a 'try' like that. The Wade Graham one was absolute rubbish though.
