Ugly high tackle ends player's season

An ugly high tackle from Wigan skipper Sean O'Loughlin has ended the season of Wakefield's Chris Annakin.

Annakin misdirected O'Loughlin who was caught off balance and threw an arm out which smashed Annakin across the chops.

The real issue for the Wakefield player though was the position the hit put his body in, as he collapsed to the ground and suffered a horrible knee injury.

O'Loughlin will only miss one match for the ban after successfully arguing for a downgrade.

Wakefield coach Chris Chester couldn't believe the ruling.
