Parramatta Eels star Corey Norman remains silent after details of sex tape extortion bid emerged
Parramatta Eels star Corey Norman remains tight-lipped after becoming the centre of an extraordinary extortion bid, where a sex tape was leaked and put up for sale to the highest bidder.
7 News broke the story after a video was offered to various media outlets for an asking price of $150,000.
The video is graphic and explicit and shows Norman in a room where people appear to be taking illicit drugs. 7 News stressed that the video does not show the athlete using drugs.
A second video for sale involves Norman with a naked woman, with former Penrith Panthers player James Segeyaro also in the room.
While nothing illegal is happening, the compromising nature of the video could appear in bad taste for the fullback, who is already facing separate drug allegations.
He is due to face court on Wednesday for drug possession charges.
The NRL is aware of the situation and will be asking the Parramatta Eels to investigate.
