How on earth did Nathan Ross score this try?

Newcastle Knights winger Nathan Ross has scored the most spectacular try of 2016 with an incredibly acrobatic put down against the Dragons.

The young flyer was sprinting towards the try line at Hunter Stadium on Saturday afternoon when he decided to propel himself in the air to avoid oncoming defenders.

Ross managed to slam the ball down despite his whole body being over the sideline.

It's another incredible example of why the NRL's decision to get rid of the corner post rule is one of its best in years.
