Is this rugby prodigy Australia's next superstar?

New South Wales schoolboy Blaise Barnes has lightning speed, a wicked step and is already being touted as the next Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

And the 17-year-old rugby prodigy's dazzling skill could land him at the centre of a tug-of-war between rival codes if this video is anything to go by.

Barnes is a product of the famous rugby nursery at St Joseph's College in Sydney, where players such as Wallabies star Kurtley Beale cut their teeth.

Several NRL clubs are reportedly vying for the youngster's signature and his manager Craig Baker of Runway Sports says there is interest from rugby too.

Whichever code Barnes decides to go with, he's the sort of player likely to attract a lot more punters through the turnstiles.
