Jamie Lyon produces comical dive to deny Cowboys try

Jamie Lyon looks set for an acting career once he retires from the NRL after this spectacular dive against the Cowboys last night.

With the Cowboys storming the Sea Eagles line, Lyon fell theatrically as Kane Linnett ran a decoy as Lachlan Coote crossed over for a try.

The bunker then ruled that the Manly skipper had been obstructed by Linnett, with the commentators blowing at the decision, once the comical replay of Lyon's dive was played on loop.

On Friday night, Josh Reynolds produced his own contender for dive of the week as the Bulldogs playmaker stepped, fell and appeared to cop a swinging arm from Parramatta enforcer Junior Paulo.

Reynolds looked to be out for the count as he lay motionless on the ground, but once the Bulldogs were awarded a penalty and as a trainer was walking Reynolds off the ground, he miraculously recovered to take part in the ensuing attacking raid.
