Australian league players in ugly crowd brawl
Australian rugby league player Justin Carney was one of several players who jumped into the crowd to protect wives and children after a brawl broke out in the crowd during a Super League match.
Carney, a former Sydney Rooster, and New Zealand native Junior S'au were among the first players to jump the fence to stop fans from engaging in fist fights, while attempting to stop wives and children from being crushed by their own fans.
The duo, who were playing for Salford Reds Devils against Huddersfield Giants, were made aware of the scuffle after hearing cries from family members in the stand.

Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash says those involved with be caught.
My apologies to @Giantsrl and to the decent fans. The Thugs responsible will be identified and dealt with. There is no place in RL for them.
