Sharks star struck in Coogee

Cronulla Sharks officials are investigating an incident involving Valentine Holmes and Jack Bird in Coogee on Sunday night.

The pair were with Sydney Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall at the Pavillion Hotel around 11pm when the Roosters star began arguing with another patron.

It is being reported Bird was first to come to Kenny-Dowall's aid when Holmes exited the venue's toilets and saw the incident.

Holmes was then knocked to the ground after being punched.

He wasn’t seriously injured and left immediately.

Holmes has put himself on a midnight curfew after being arrested last month in Brisbane at an emerging Origin camp.
