Lauaki eye-gouge escapes sending off

Former New Zealand Warrior Epalahame Lauaki avoided being sent off after eye gouging Kieran Dixon in Bradford’s 48-4 loss to Hull KR.

In the 38th minute, Lauaki tackles Dixon, appearing to make deliberate contact with his face, however he only received a yellow card for the offence.

The former Kiwi international drew plenty of criticism from the commentators for his actions, with the match review committee surely to take another look.

Not a great look for the English Super League, especially after this Ben Pomeroy horror tackle from a few weeks back.
