Injury-ravaged Penrith have been rocked by more bad news today, with strike centre Jamal Idris to miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear.

Scans this morning confirmed the worst for the giant three quarter, who was sidelined with the knee injury during Saturday night’s win over Manly.

Ironically, Idris was in doubt for the game with a calf problem. Lock Elijah Taylor also failed to finish because of a knee injury and the club is yet to confirm its severity.

They join a bulging casualty ward at the foot of the mountains, including skipper Peter Wallace (knee), five eighth Jamie Soward (back), and centre Dean Whare (hamstring).
