Manly player held up at knife point in China

Manly utility Liam Foran has reportedly been held up at knife point on holidays in Shanghai.

News Ltd is reporting Foran, the brother of Kiwi international and star Manly five-eight Kieran, was held up after getting lost in the Chinese city, which has a population of 23 million people.

A Sea Eagles spokeswoman said Foran described the incident as “not a big deal” and has moved on.

The spokeswoman confirmed Forand had some money taken from him but was not hurt in the incident.

He will begin pre-season training with the Sea Eagles in Monday.

Foran has played 10 NRL games in his career, seven of which were this year.
