League One: Leyton Orient boss Richie Wellens charged after Bolton Wanderers red card

Leyton Orient head coach Richie Wellens has been charged by the FA after he was sent off in his side's 1-0 win against Bolton Wanderers at Brisbane Road.

The 43-year-old was dismissed by referee Alex Chilowicz in the 81st minute after he stopped a Bolton player from taking a quick throw-in.

He's also alleged to have directly watched the rest of the match, rather than returning to the locker room.

Bolton assistant manager Pete Atherton was also shown a yellow card.

Wellens has until Friday to appeal the charge.

Saturday's victory, courtesy of a Dan Agyei winner, was the O's third win in a row and leaves them in 10th place on 38 points.

Bolton sit third on 54, one point off an automatic promotion place and two points behind league leaders Portsmouth.
