Leaders Glentoran ease past Lisburn in Women's Premiership

Women's Premiership leaders Glentoran eased past Lisburn Ladies 4-0 at the Blanchflower Stadium on Saturday.

A double from Aimee Kerr and goals from Jess Foy and Kascie Weir sealed the victory for Kim Turner's side.

The Glens, who were returning to league action after being Cliftonville in the County Antrim Cup final, are three points ahead of the Reds having played a game more.

Lisburn have now suffered back-to-back defeats and sit seventh in the table.

Kerr broke the deadlock after just four minutes for the Glens, before captain Foy added a second three minutes later.

Foy met Demi Vance's corner at the back post and planted an unstoppable header past Jessica Poots.

Kerr got her second and Glentoran's third on the hour mark, curling home a superb free-kick.

Weir rounded off the scoring by taking the ball past Poots before coolly finishing into an empty net.
