O’Hara addressed rumors of her casting during an appearance on Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live. Responding to a caller who inquired about rumors that the Emmy winner was bound for HBO’s apocalyptic smash, a stunned O’Hara responded, “How do you know these things?” The veteran actress, who is currently appearing on the big screen in the spy caper Argyle, went on to confirm that she is indeed circling a role on the show. (O’Hara noted that her son works behind the scenes of the dark drama as a set dresser.)
The Last of Us Season 2: Everything We Know So Far
O’Hara is the fourth new Season 2 cast member, joining Isabela Merced as Dina, “a free-wheeling spirt” whose devotion to Bella Ramsey’s Ellie will be tested, Kaitlyn Dever (Dopesick, Justified), as Abby, “a skilled soldier whose black-and-white view of the world is challenged as she seeks vengeance for those she loved;” and Young Mazino (BEEF), who will play Jesse, “a pillar of his community who puts everyone else’s needs before his own, sometimes at terrible cost.”
The Last of Us is tentatively slated to return to HBO in 2025.
