Lancaster 'delighted' with Aberdeen 'character and fight'

Aberdeen manager Clinton Lancaster hailed his side for their comeback win over Montrose.

The Dons went a goal down early in the second half but came back to score twice and bag all three points.

"We were the dominant team in the first half, they had a few chances but I think they were chances that we gave them with how we were trying to play," he told club media. "The way the players responded to conceding the goal was brilliant.

"At the start of the season we didn't have the strength and depth that we have now. Collectively it was just a brilliant performance.

"To come back from being a goal down just shows the character of the team and the fight so I am delighted."
