Kings shut down practice facility due to positive coronavirus test in traveling party
The Sacramento Kings are the latest NBA team to shut down their facility due to a positive coronavirus test. The team announced the news late Sunday night. It did not reveal which member of its traveling party tested positive for the virus.
The Kings are expected to depart for Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday.

With the shutdown, the Kings become the seventh NBA team to close its practice facility since the league attempted to reopen. The Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns have all closed their facilities.
It’s unclear whether — if at all — the shutdowns will impact the league’s restart. Teams haven’t traveled to Orlando yet, which is where the NBA is hoping to implement its bubble plan. Players and staff who have already tested positive will likely stay behind until they are cleared.
The bigger question will come once players start testing positive while in the bubble. If — or when — that happens, the NBA will have to figure out how many positive tests it is willing to accept before shutting things down.
The Orlando plan hasn’t been affected by these positive tests, but it’s not exactly encouraging that some teams are unable to practice just days before traveling to the bubble.
