The SKIMS mogul recently posted a selfie from an Aspen chairlift where she didn't appear to be wearing a ski helmet
Kim Kardashian is known to be an expert skier, but she still received some criticism from fans when she didn't appear to be wearing a helmet while on a chairlift in Colorado with her sister Khloé Kardashian.
"ASPEN," she captured the images, which showed her in an all-black ski outfit, including black Anon M2 MFI ski goggles and Victoria Beckham leather ski bibs and jacket, as she and Khloé rode the chairlift at Buttermilk Mountain Resort.
"VIBES," Khloé, 39, wrote underneath Kim's post.
Some fans took to the comments section of her Instagram to point out the lack of a helmet in the pic. "You know what would make this sexier? A helmet!" wrote one fan, while another said, "Helmet please!"
However, a source tells PEOPLE that Kim, 43, does wear a helmet while on the slopes. "She regularly wears a helmet," the source says, noting it was probably taken off for the photo opp.
While Kim wasn't seen with a helmet, Khloé not only wore a helmet but wore a full motorcycle helmet as she posed with her sister, complete with built-in Bluetooth cat-ear speakers.
The Kardashians have regularly shared photos of their ski trips on social media.
In 2018, Kim took to Instagram to show off her skills on the slopes and was pictured wearing a helmet while heading downhill.
"Fun Fact — I can ski," she wrote of the post.
Though the Kardashian family seems to be partial to shredding in Aspen, the snow-loving fam have also been spotted on ski trips around the world in the past, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Deer valley, Utah.

Earlier this month, Khloé also shared photos to Instagram from her same Aspen getaway with Kim.
This time she wasn't wearing a helmet. In fact, she wasn't wearing much! The pic was snapped as she posed in a bikini and a fur coat in the snow.
"It's giving mob wife vibes....Faux mob wife of course," she wrote of the pics.
