Why Kieren Jack didn't invite his parents to his wedding
The parents of Kieren Jack has expressed their disappointment after they weren’t invited to his wedding.
The Sydney Swans star married Charlotte Goodlet on Friday in the Blue Mountains, but Jack’s parents (rugby league legend Garry and mother Donna) were nowhere to be seen.
And the reason boils down to a bitter family feud that was made public in 2016.
Donna and Garry spoke out about the snub on Sunday, calling it ‘unfortunate and disappointing’.

“We would like to wish Kieren and Charlotte all the best on their special day,” Jack’s parents told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“It is unfortunate and disappointing that we were not in attendance of our son’s wedding, but sadly none of the family made the invite list.
“Nonetheless, we wish them both well.”

Jack’s younger brother and fellow AFL player Brandon was best man, but older brother Rhys reportedly wasn’t there either.

The family feud became public in 2016 when Donna aired her dirty laundry on social media.
Just days before Jack’s 200th game, Donna revealed the Swans star had requested she and Garry not attend his milestone match.
“@kjack_15 so sad. Dad 200 RL you 200 AFL & you don’t want us there, your parents. No appreciation for all the yrs helping you get there,” Donna posted.
The tweet came after Jack apparently snubbed his parents for his 200th game by giving his free allocation of match day tickets and flights to the parents of Goodlet.
At the time, Jack admitted the fallout hadn’t been nice.

“My priorities of support are firmly with my partner and my little brother who I love and care for very much,” he said.
“As distressing as the events have been, the support we’ve given each other on top of friends and other family members, teammates and the Sydney Swans in general highlights to us how lucky we are to have those people in our lives.”
Teammates including Jarrad McVeigh, Sam Reid, Luke Parker and Callum Sinclair, as well as former Swans stars Dan Hannebery, Rhyce Shaw, Lewis Roberts-Thomson and Craig Bird were all in attendance.
Good times celebrating @kjack_15 and @charlottegoodlet wedding yesterday #pairofjacks
