Matildas striker Sam Kerr has taken Chelsea to the top of Group A in the Women's Champions League with a 1-0 victory over Servette at Kingsmeadow.

The hosts dominated throughout but it took 67 minutes for them to make a breakthrough, with Kerr providing the smart finish after a neat ball by Fran Kirby.

The Swiss visitors, who have lost all four of their group games, finished with 10 players after Amandine Soulard was sent off eight minutes from time.

The victory gives Chelsea, who won the reverse fixture 7-0, 10 points after four matches and puts Emma Hayes' side three clear of second-placed Juventus.

The Blues' next fixture in the competition is against the Italian side, who beat Wolfsburg 2-0 earlier on Thursday.

In other matches, Paris beat Real Madrid 2-0 in Group B while Zhytlobud-1 defeated Breidablik 2-0.
