Australian seamer Tom Rogers has joined Kent for the remainder of their T20 Blast group games.

The 30-year-old has played 49 T20 matches in his career, taking 60 wickets.

Rogers has played in the Big Bash League for Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades.

"We know that every game is vital for us now, and I want to do my part in getting results as a Spitfire in the near future," he told the club's website.

Rogers has 91 appearances across T20, List A and first-class formats, taking 149 wickets and scoring 725 runs in total.

Kent are ninth in the T20 Blast South group, one point above bottom-placed Middlesex, with four points from eight games.

Rogers will be available for the Spitfires next match, against Gloucestershire on Friday.
