Kelechi Nwakali fires MVV Maastricht past FC Eindhoven

Kelechi Nwakali was on target in MVV Maastricht 2-0 victory over FC Eindhoven in Friday’s Dutch Eerste Divisie outing at De Geusselt.

The Nigerian powered in his third goal of the season since he rejoined the side on loan from English Premier League giants Arsenal during the January transfer window.

After failing to secure victory in their last two games, Ron Elsen’s men returned to winning ways with a convincing showing against the Blue-Whites.

Alessandro Ciranni opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time for the home team to help them to a 1-0 lead into the break.

In the closing seconds of the game, the 19-year-old sealed the victory with a 90th minute to help the Maastricht outfit to the promotion playoff spot.
