SCOTT PIANOWSKI: Keenan Allen's been a consistent player for too many years for him to tumble down my draft board. He's wide receiver 11 right now, but we can't ignore a few things. Deep into his career-- he's into his 10th season, his age 30 season. Is that a danger zone for a receiver? It can be at times.
Mike Williams was the better fantasy player last year. There's a lot of mouths to feed in this offense. We know Ekeler is going to get a lot of touches, a lot of touchdowns. They have decent receivers after Williams and Allen. So even though Allen is wide receiver 11 on my board, I don't think I'll draft him as such.
And remember, Allen more of a PPR guy, not a heavy touchdown player. He's never scored double-digit touchdowns in a season. I did give him 94 catches. I did give him 1,102 yards and seven touchdowns. But I don't think I'll be going after Keenan Allen. I'd rather wait around for Mike Williams or one of the cheaper Charger receivers in the 2022 draft season.
