Julia Fox does Wednesday Addams level of goth in chain-embellished mini skirt

It's no secret we love ogling over our favourite celebrities' red carpet style but with very few (if any at all) ballgown-worthy occasions in our own calendar, it's not always a great source of fashion inspiration. Instead, spotting the A-List in their off-duty wardrobes as they relax at the weekend or run errands can actually rival the excitement of a film premiere or awards 'do. Sure, they may still be wearing head-to-toe designer labels, but we can more easily recreate a casual ensemble IRL than we can a naked dress.

Of course, that isn't always the case for the likes of Julia Fox. No matter how mundane her day, she regularly dresses to the nines in cut-out dresses and harnesses. She's even been known to go supermarket shopping in her underwear.

So perhaps we shouldn't have been surprised when she debuted a totally new look on a dog walk.

In a move straight out of the Emily Ratajkowski style playbook – the model, actress and podcast host regularly turns the streets of New York into her own personal runway while out dog walking – Julia followed EmRata's lead and used the outing to don a seriously statement 'fit.

The look in question consisted of a black oversized blazer embellished with chains and zips and featuring frayed cuffs. With a white collared shirt worn underneath, she added a matching pleated mini skirt with further chain-embellishment and corset-tie detailing at the waist. Sheer knee-high socks and black ankle boots with towering platform soles completed the look, giving school uniform vibes. Her final accessory was of course her dog, who got the goth memo with a spiked studded collar.

In short, Julia's new aesthetic is Wednesday Addams levels of gothic, matched by dramatic makeup that included a graphic black eye shadow and liner combo that bled into thick black stripes in her bleached blonde hair, plus a barbed wire lip. Sharing a close-up of her beauty look on Instagram, Julia captioned the snap, "This is my interpretation of The Final Boss of the *weird Barbies* 💅🏻".

Knowing how frequently Julia changes her style – she is a literal fashion chameleon – we can't say if her new goth attire is here to stay. But one thing's for sure, we'll be paying close attention to what she wears next.
