In case you missed it, Jordan medaled in the women's floor final in gymnastics earlier this week.

Initially, Jordan earned a 13.666 score for her routine, placing her behind Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu — but her score was increased to 13.766 upon appeal, placing her in the third position and earning her the bronze.

As the Washington Post reports, the Romanian federation filed its own appeal against Jordan's appeal, and the Olympics' Court of Arbitration eventually decided that Jordan's appeal was filed after the one-minute deadline stipulated to request an inquiry — effectively reversing her win and awarding Ana with the bronze.

The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee said in a statement earlier today that it plans to appeal the decision — and now Jordan is speaking out as well.

"I am taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health thank you," Jordan said in a statement posted to her IG story.

There you have it. If there's any updates to this story, we'll let you know.

UPDATE: Ana has also posted her own statement regarding the reversal on her IG Story. "Sabrina, Jordan, my thoughts are with you," she wrote. "I know what you are feeling, because I've been through the same. But I know you'll come back stronger. I hope from deep of my heart that at the next Olympics, all three of us will share the same podium. This is my true dream! This situation would not have existed if the persons in charge had respected the regulation. We, athletes are not to be blamed, and the hate directed to us is painful. I wanted to end this edition of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in the spirit of Olympism, the true value of the world."
