Ashlee Simpson Ross joined her sister and niece in one photo, sporting black outerwear
Jessica Simpson is twinning with her mini-me!
Simpson, 43, and her daughter, Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, sported matching animal print jackets in a series of photos on Instagram Monday. The photo set began with snaps of the fashion mogul looking sultry as she rocked a black body suit.
She puckered her lips to pose next to Maxwell, 11, in one photo and closed her eyes as she laughed in another sweet mother-daughter moment. The Instagram post ended with a photo of the two looking straight at the camera next to Maxwell's aunt, Ashlee Simpson Ross.
While Simpson Ross, 39, opted not to sport the fashion trend, she looked just as chic in a long black maxi coat.
Simpson told PEOPLE in August that her three children have shown her how to be "brave."
"I was too nervous to go back into other careers that are my passion until I felt like they were confident enough in school and in life before I would step foot on stage. It's crazy, the responsibility to feel as a parent, but really I look to them and they teach me so much," she told PEOPLE. "They're teaching me to be brave."
Balancing time between work and family has been a priority for Simpson, who splits her time between L.A. and Nashville as she works on new music.
"They helped me find a house [in Nashville], we all moved there, they picked their rooms, that type of stuff, but they're in school so I have two weeks [in Nashville], two weeks home," Simpson told PEOPLE in November.
"She is very much into the glow-up stuff, how to better yourself. I had to have her explain it to me the other day because I thought it was literally putting highlighter on her cheeks," Simpson told Footwear News in November.

"She said, 'Mom, no, it's your inner glow and how to glow up everything in your life. Wow, that's a beautiful concept. If that's what you're learning on TikTok, keep going — but just know, those are all filters," explained Simpson.
