Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler was arrested for simple battery and criminal mischief Tuesday night according to a report from the Pinellas County Sherrif's office.
He was bonded out of jail for the offense Wednesday morning.
According to multiple reports, Fowler allegedly got into an argument in an apartment complex parking lot about his driving, when the Jaguars DE got out of his car, allegedly hit the man and then threw his groceries into a nearby lake.

Both charges Fowler is facing are misdemeanors, and he is subject to discipline by the NFL. The Jaguars released a statement on the incident Wednesday, saying in part, that they are aware of the situation, have been in communication with Fowler and are gathering more information.
