FC Goa have secured the signing of right-back Nirmal Chettri ahead of the next season of the Indian Super League (ISL), Goal can confirm.
The 27-year-old defender was plying his trade for NorthEast United FC in the previous two seasons of the ISL but will now wear the colours of the Gaurs who had reached the play-offs this time around.
The versatile player, who can also fill in at the centre of defence, made 16 appearances for the Highlanders in the ISL last season. However, the North-Eastern outfit finished bottom of the pile.
Chettri has previously played for Kerala Blasters in the 2014 edition and FC Goa will be his third ISL team.
He had also turned out for the likes of Air India, East Bengal, DSK Shivajians and Dempo SC in the I-League.
