Isaiah Thomas shooting guest spot on 'Law & Order: SVU'

Isaiah Thomas is taking his skills from the court to the squad room.

The Cavs guard on Tuesday took to Twitter to announce he will star in a guest role in an episode of "Law and Order: SVU."

According to IMDB, this will be Thomas' first television appearance that goes beyond just an interview. While he didn't specify the details of the episode or when it will air, the show's 19th season is set to premiere Sept. 27.

Thomas isn't the first athlete to shoot in a guest spot on the popular crime show. Serena Williams appeared in a 2004 episode of "SVU," while Lindsey Vonn starred in a 2010 episode of "Law and Order."
